From PETWORTH
Take the A283 towards Fittleworth, take the right hand turning B2138 towards
Arundel. Pass the “Swan Pub” on your right, cross the river,
go up a hill and just before the top take the small turn on the right marked
Coates, this is Coates Lane. Proceed for 0.8 miles. You will pass the church
on your right, and 100 yards further on at 0.8 miles, take the private drive
on the right to COATES CASTLE.
Then follow directions 1 to 4 below. |

From ARUNDEL
Take the A284, at the top of the hill take the second turning on
the roundabout A27 to Fittleworth. Go down the hill, through Bury, then
turn left at Watersfield on the B2138 for Fittleworth. Pass the Tripp Hill
petrol station on the right, travel 50 yards then take the small turn on
the left to Coates, this is Coates lane. Proceed for 0.8 miles. You will
pass the Church on your right and 100 yards further on at 0.8 miles, turn
right to COATES CASTLE.
Then follow directions 1 to 4 below. |

From CHICHESTER
Take the A285 towards Petworth, after crossing the South Downs go through
Duncton and about mile further on take the right turn marked Burton, Sutton
and COATES. Travel for 2.35 miles (you will pass a lake on your right, go
straight over a cross-road and keep left when the road forks, you will pass
a 6’ 6’’ width restriction sign). After a left hand bend
and having travelled the 2.35 miles, take the private drive on the left
to COATES CASTLE. Then follow directions 1 to 4 below. |

| 2. After turning into the drive to COATES
CASTLE drive past a house with a conservatory on your left, a walled garden
on your left and when you can see the castle turn RIGHT – do not go
into the Castle forecourt. |

| 3. You are now facing a high hedge, we are
behind this, so follow the road to the RIGHT going downhill. |

4. Immediately turn LEFT through a big metal
gate. For the Tree house park in the bay on the right and for the Barn and
Cottage park by the house
